Hooolllaaaaa!! It's been a loooooooooooong long time I didn't update my blog..I really miss blogging now! A lot!!!!
I moved to Pekanbaru to continue my study, and it's hard for me to find a good signal here..poor me! *sigh
And promise to myself will update my blog as often as possible, Insya Allah.

AKAD NIKAH
Akad nikah or in english is Marriage contract (heh?! it sounds weird! *straight face*) for my sister kak reni (my cousin) was held on April 20th, 2012 in her home. The sacral moment went smoothly and wisdom. Alhamdulillah.. :-)

And the next day was the party. The party was so fun! All the big family gathered here. LOVE IT!! And both braid wore three outfits. Suntiang (black and red) and purple kebaya for the different time.

For akad nikah, I just wore manset gamis and chiffon shawl as Saree. And for the party I designed the dress by myself :-P

I want to tell a little story about my activity on March 25th 2012. I was attending Hijab Class was held by Hijabers Pekanbaru (one of hijabers community in Pekanbaru) and RUMOD by Ridha (you can find this boutique at hijUp.com or their blog) in Bread Boutique Pekanbaru. They held hijab and make up class.

Walopun masih banyak kekurangan, but..so far the class was so fun! I was really enjoyed it! I went with Dian and met Fala there. The class was so crowded! Many lovely hijabis there..

One of the hijab tutor is Kak Ridha, founder and designer of RUMOD by Ridha. She gave us 3 hijab tutorials for special occasion.

Unfortunately, I didn't take much pictures coz I was too busy to took attention for the tutorials! hehehe..and they gave us 10 minutes to try each style.
And finally, I met Devita and Vya there! This beautiful girls are the committe of Hijabers Pekanbaru. I "met" them in Facebook..

Last but not least, I was really happy. The committe was so nice to the hijabis! Oh, they gave us a goodie bag which is include 2 shawls (cotton & chiffon shawl) and an inner.

And..oh! Hijabers Pekanbaru will held Beauty in Hijab with Dian Pelangi on June 3rd 2012. So, if you want to meet Dian Pelangi personally and face to face, you should come. But, you have to buy the ticket first..hehehe..*ngumpulin recehan* :-P
Today, I saw one of my Facebook friend's photo and I looked into her braided headband. Yep! Headband kepang ini emang lagi happening banget kan?! Bukan cuma yg berjilbab aja yg make sebagai aksesoris, tapi cewek2 yg gak make jilbab pun banyak yg make. So, I thought why not make it by myself using patchwork?
My mom has sooooo many patchwork! Dan aku memilih kain perca berbahan kaos spandek...and I found 4 pieces of spandek fabric! Yeay!! :-D
It was so easy to make this headband! I've made 6 pieces in one day! Hahak!! Okay, enough talking..lemme show you how to make..
You just need a scissor and some patchwork..it's up to you for the color! :-)
How to make it:
1. Scisscors fabric with a width of 5 cm and 115 cm in length. By the way, it's up to you for the length and the width..mau lebih pendek lagi ato mau dipanjangin lagi, terserah! Sesuaiin sama kebutuhan kamu aja..heheh..
2. Do rule no. 1 for another fabric.
3. Then, braid 3 fabrics like you braid your own hair.
4. Finish! Now you have your do-it-yourself braided headband! Yeay!! *clapping* :-D

So easy kan?? Gak cuma dari kain perca aja, kamu juga bisa membuat headband kepang ini dari rambut palsu, sekumpulan benang, or any patchwork fabric you like! Once again,,it's up to you gals! Use your own creativity!! :-D

But, in this video, you have to cut your t-shirt. I prefer use patchwork than cutting my t-shirt! But, if you don't have any patchwork, you can use your former t-shirt that are not used anymore. So gals, use your own creativity!! Be creative! :-D
On the third day, we decided to go to Bugis, Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Little India, Orchard, and last Marina Bay Sands. What a tired day!! :-D
We chose MRT (again!) to visit those place..
But, unfortunately, we just took some pictures in Clarke Quay and Marina Bay Sands :-(
